Singapore’s next phase of asset management growth
Singapore is taking further steps to strengthen its position as a leading asset management hub, with new measures targeting tax treatment, capital access and senior investment talent.
On 19 August 2026, the Monetary Authority of Singapore (MAS) announced a proposed tax exemption for profit-related returns from qualifying fund management activities, a new Hedge Fund Investment Programme, and an Investment Management Track under the ONE Pass framework.
Together, the measures could have implications for fund managers establishing, operating or expanding their presence in Singapore, particularly as they plan their structures, talent requirements and growth strategies for 2027.
